Got my 2011 Rex
Well after 2 hrs of short mild runs, getting it up to temp then letting it cool.
I wanted to see what it would do top end.
I am 350lb, my wife is 140lb and my buddy is 215lb...
We got it up to 52mph, pretty quick and it hits rev limiter.
Is this a reasonable stock speed?
Thanks,
Gino

sounds about right...now get ahold of dasa or benchmark to get an msd controller... this will remove that factory speed limiter....

Yep, 52mph is all it will do bone stock. Like Sconym said you'll need an MSD and OD clutch cap to get any faster and are the building blocks for everything else.

Yep 52 stock is right on. Get MSD, exhaust (Muzzy Pro's or Dasa), and overdrive plate or VFJ clutch mod and get to the mid 60's.
And definitely change out the stock airfilter setup. Once you open it up you'll see what I mean. It's going to suck dirt.

50+ miles per hour should be more than enough for hard-pack and paved roads.
But I guess the more speed you get the more you want to push the gas!!

I hear ya. I just love the sound of my DASA pipes and MSD and the extra speed that comes with them. epper1:

Get an air fuel ratio meter and see what is up with the mixture. Then go from there to figure out what you need to do to fix it. My 2008 machine was very hard for me to tune without the A/F gauge. I still have two of them but mine I ran Muzzy's on and had the bungs on the exhaust to screw in an 02 sensor. If you have stock exhaust you will have to find someone who has the sniffer they stick in the exhaust itself. Do you live near someone with a dyno who can help you tune it?
